Juanfer Marrero Group

The spanish guitarplayer Juanfer Marrero grew up listening to his father’s record collection from the seventies. Here a fascination with soundscapes and psychedelic music was born. In his compositions Marrero tests the boundaries of sound, beat, tempo and structure. Think Maggot Brain by Funkadelic.

Marrero’s first release, ‘Octogirl’, is a concept album based on a fictional video game in space. Every song portrays a new level the protagonist Octogirl has to complete.
